The Dark Knight Rises theatrical trailer
The Dark Knight Rises Prologue was a short, but satisfying teaser to the epic conclusion to “The Dark Knight legend” that will be unleashed to the world next summer. I don’t think anything I can type can describe the feeling of watching this footage screened on a gigantic IMAX screen in true 70mm film. This is the ultimate and unique way to experience The Dark Knight Rises.
As for the actual footage… no, I will not spoil anything; there are plenty of other sites & blogs that will be more than happy to transcribe everything their eyeballs saw up there. I will say that the images screened are visually stunning. The characters we are introduced to are intriguing. One character in particular had a gruff-sounding voice; which has many people complaining about it. The film just entered post-production, and the final audio mix will be finished within the coming months —so it’s nothing to get worked-up over.
Once again, the footage previewed is not representative of a finished, polished feature film. It was meant to make you excited for a major motion picture event which has been over 70 years in the making. We didn’t need it, it was given to us. WB did us a solid. I cannot wait to see this movie.
The Dark Knight Rises, the final installment in Chris Nolan’s 21st century Batman film series, will be released to movie theaters and IMAX screens on July 20, 2012.

Tonight I’m attending a special screening of The Dark Knight Rises Prologue at the Edwards IMAX in Ontario, California. I was able to get a pair of tickets through gofobo and TDKR sub-site Operation Early Bird last week.
The seven minutes of new footage will also be shown before Mission Impossible: Ghost Protocol on over 300 IMAX screens this weekend!
Christian Bale has confirmed that “The Dark Knight Rises” will be his last appearance as Batman/Bruce Wayne on the silver screen in a recent interview, meaning he will be exiting the series along with Christopher Nolan now that the director’s “Dark Knight” trilogy is complete.
“I wrapped a few days ago so that will be the last time I’m taking that cowl [Batman hood] off,” said Bale in an interview with reporter Ruben V. Nepales of the Philippine Daily Inquirer. “I believe that the whole production wrapped yesterday, so it’s all done. Everything’s finished. It’s me and Chris – that will be the end of that Batman era.”

Looks like Joseph Gordon-Levitt has finished shooting his scenes as Detective John Blake for The Dark Knight Rises. The final Batman film helmed by Chris Nolan opens in theaters July 20, 2012.
