misterpeace asked: I recently posed the following question: http://misterpeace.com/post/1149569684/
and nobody seems to know the answer. Since you know a ton of stuff about comics, do you have any clues? :-)
Mister P, my apologies for the late reply, but I want to say that every time I re-read all of All-Star Superman (which, since the final issue was published, has been almost weekly) I become infatuated with many probing inquiries of my own with characters introduced in the series.
Zibarro is obviously a tragic character, he a bright genius surrounded by a Bizarro World of imbeciles. I could absolutely identify with Zibarro, as he seemed familiar… like this was Grant himself. Was. Today I see Morrison akin as Superman himself, as he a god that can create and destroy worlds with his mighty keyboard, and when his work becomes published it becomes fact, a historical document and look to another dimension full of superheroes and super villains. But Morrison knows he is human, as Clark Kent is.
In the realm of published works, great characters will never truly die. Zibarro will be back, and I hope Morrison will be the one breathing new life into him. Maybe after yesterday’s news this looks more likely than ever.
Update: Dorian- I realized I didn’t answer your question. Sorry man! I believe that Mr. Z lives, and will find a way to get out of the silly hell he finds himself living in.
