At dinner I was telling my friend that I need some new comics but I don’t wanna wait/pay for shipping online like I normally do. I told him there are only three scenarios when I go into comic book stores:
1. Staring, no talking. Lots of staring. Lots. Stop it. No, stop it.
2. Talking down to me because I have boobs, therefore, I know nothing about comics.
3. Hitting on me.
My friend emailed me this when I got home. HA! Too true!
A damn shame, a modern LCS should know better. Hate to brag, but I will: I love my comic book shop. They will chat with ya just because you want some funnybooks, not because of gender (I mean, what is this, pre-Crisis?!), they’ll help you out with anything, and if you return, they’ll make a pull list for you.
Going to a comic books store should be a friendly, cool experience. It should never feel awkward, or weird. I guess some fans just need to change with the times; like excepting that Wally West is Flash, Kyle Rayner is Green Lantern, and Connor Hawke is Green Arr…. er, n/m.

Beginning, Middle, but Never The End...
